Homework (not to be turned in)

  • This is to study from for the test Monday. These might be harder than the quizzes or earlier homework, but they aren't graded and will provide good study material for the concepts on the test. The test will contain both computational (early homework) and at least one or two longer questions similar to these.
  • Section 1.2 Problems 41, 53
  • Section 1.5 Problem 58
  • Section 1.6 You should know which types of algebra laws work with matrix algebra, and which do not (maybe even have ready some examples).
  • Section 1.7 Problem 51
  • Section 1.9 Problems 27, 34, 60, 75
  • Again, some of these are definitely harder than I'll put on the test, but expect something similar.
  • By popular demand, here are some past tests (some of these cover more than we have)
  • Winter 2010 Section K
  • Here are three that cover the right amount of material
