The International Conference on
Stochastic Analysis and Its Applications will be
held at the University of Washington, Seattle, from August 7-11,
2006. The talks will be held at
Condon Hall
(CDH) Rooms 109 (=129), 135 and 139.
This conference is co-sponsored by the The Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS).
The organizers of the conference are
Krzysztof Burdzy and
Zhen-Qing Chen. These areas are strongly related to each other and have been very active in recent years. They occupy a central place in modern probability theory and analysis. The primary goal of the conference is to bring researchers in areas listed above, from all over the world, to survey the fields, exchange ideas and to foster future collaborations. Another important goal is to expose young researchers and Ph.D students to the most recent developments in active areas of probability theory. In addition to the invited lectures, the conference will run several informal sessions so all participants, especially young researchers, will be able to give short informal presentations of their current work and discuss open problems in an informal atmosphere. Several tutorial lectures for Ph.D students and new researchers will also be arranged for. |
