Important Course Information

The textbook for the course is "Calculus" by Stewart, vol.1 available
in the UW bookstore. This is a portion of the hardbound text
"Calculus, 6th Edition, Early Transcendentals" by Stewart.
Either text will work. The custom version vol. 1 covers Math 124/5 at the UW.
The custom version vol. 2 covers Math 126/324 at the UW.
- In addition to the textbook, you will need a "WebAssign access code";
see link below. You can purchase this code bundled with the textbook at
the book store OR you can purchase a standalone access code (if you already
have the textbook or locate a used copy).

Homework is NOT posted on the course website.
- Number of tries in doing homwork via WebAssign:
By default, 5 tries are allowed. On multiple
choice parts, however, only 1 try if there
are 2, 3, or 4 possible answers, and 2 tries if there are 5 or
more possible answers.

Recommended preparation
Read the textbook as well as the above website before and after each lecture.
It is located in B14 Communications Building.
