Challenge of the week for Math126 A and B: If HW problems are too easy for you, you might try the problems listed here after you finish your HW. Warning: this is optional and will not be counted for you grades.

Grades:

Your grade is determined by how you do relative to the class as a whole. Grades will be based on the following:


Homework:

Homework is assigned weekly and be collected in Quiz Section on Tuesday every week. You are responsible for all the problems assigned. We have a grader to grade your homework, but the amount of homework that can be graded is limited. No late homework will be accepted. Click here for Homework


Quiz:

Quizzes will be given on Thursday in week 2, 5, and 9.
  • Quiz 1 on April 10 will cover "Taylor Notes".
  • Quiz 2 on May 1 will cover a part of Chapter 12 and Chapter 10.
  • Quiz 3 on May 29 will cover Chapter 15.

  • Exams:

  • The first Midterm Exam will be given in week 4 (Monday, April 21). It will cover "Taylor Notes" and Chapter 12.
  • The second Midterm Exam will be given in week 8 (Monday, May 19). It will cover Chapters 10, 13, and part of Chapters 12 and 14.
  • The final exam will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2008 from 1:30 to 4:20. The final exam will cover "Taylor Notes" and Chapters 10-15. You must bring your Photo ID to all exams.

    Text and Material:

    "Taylor Notes" and "Calculus: Early Transcendentals", 5th Edition by James Stewart. We recommend students to read the textbook before and after each lecture.
