Grades:
Your grade is determined by how you do relative to the class as a whole.
Grades will be based on the following:
- Quiz -- 10 %
- Homework -- 10 %
- Midterm one -- 20 %
- Midterm two -- 20 %
- Final -- 40 %
Homework: Homework will be assigned
and collected via Webassign for all Math 126 classes.
Homework will be due at 11:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

No late homework will be accepted.
Quiz:
Quizzes will be given on Thursday in week 2, 6, and 10.
Quiz 1 on October 4 will cover Chapter 12.
Quiz 2 on November 1 will cover Chapters 13 and 14.
Quiz 3 on November 29 will cover Section 15.5 and Taylor Series notes.
Exams:
The first Midterm Exam will be given in week 4
(Thursday October 18). It will cover Chapters 10, 12 and 13.
The second Midterm Exam will be given in week 7
(Thursday November 15). It will cover Chapters 13, 14 and 15.
The final exam will take place in Room KNE 120 on
Saturday,
December 8, 1:30-4:20pm. The final exam
will cover "Taylor Notes" and Chapters 10-15. You must bring your
Photo ID to all exams.
Students who are unable to take the exam at this time must
petition to take the make-up final. Petition forms are available
in the Math Advising Office, C-36 PDL and should be filed by Friday Oct.

Ground Rules
Rules for taking exams:
- Graphing and/or programmable calculators are not
allowed on quizzes and exams in Math 126.
- You will need a scientific calculator for Math 126. It must
have trigonometric functions, like Sin and Cos, as well as
logarithms and exponentials (ln and exp). The book store carries the
following scientific calculators for \$10-15: TI-30XIIs, TI-30Xa, Sharp
EL500.
- For Midterm and Final exams, you are allowed to bring
one page of hand-written notes of standard size.
- There are no make-up exams. If you have a compelling and
well-documented reason for missing the final exam, speak to Math Advising
Office (PDL C-36) about it by Friday Oct.

This is a custom edition available in the University Bookstore.
We recommend students to read the textbook before and after each lecture.
